We hope you enjoyed our first mini-series, Photo Books 101: Working With Layouts.
Of course a Photobook (or Photo Calendar) is all about, well ... photos. And that makes getting your photos displayed right pretty important to how your end product turns out.
If you’re getting started on telling your story but need a bit of help setting up your photos, our new ‘Working with Photos’ mini-series is just for you!
It can seem like there’s zillions of file types out there. The albumworks editor only uses photo formats that give you the very best end result. After all, we want your photobook to be as sensational as you do.
By far, the number 1 Photo question we get asked is:
Can I use photos saved as a pdf?
Now that’s one of the few things you can’t do, sorry. A pdf is basically a locked file. And you need photos that can be bent, shaped and fitted to your whim. The albumworks editor works with jpg, png and tif files. So as long as you upload pics in one of these formats, you can hit ignition on your album! That’s all folks! Tune in again next week for our second most asked question, in Photo Books 101: Why do my photos look darker when printed?
See you then!
Sandra
