Our philosophy
At albumworks we are passionate about one thing – enabling you to tell your story through beautiful photobooks, calendars and other fun to make photo book products. From our easy-to-use flexible editor through to online order tracking and overnight photobook delivery service our focus is on providing a great photo book experience. Put another way, we don’t focus on crystal ornaments, coffee mugs, dog bowls and fridge magnets….. Our editor, service levels and delivery methods are designed so that you can create an easy-to-make, beautiful photo book with more design freedom and more enjoyment and get the photo book result you are looking for. Plus, we add extra touches to your photobook that others do not, because to us it is not just a printed photo album, it's more than a product – it’s your story. Most importantly, we care……
albumworks photo books are produced on the very latest Hewlett Packard Indigo digital presses. These machines are daily calibrated to an international ISO colour standard and then constructed in our in-house bindery, which enables us to achieve precise quality control and rapid turnaround times for your photo book.
albumworks was one of the very first photobook providers in Australia and launched in 2006 under the name albumprinter. In September 2009 Albumprinter changed its name to albumworks.
The team
albumworks is headed by Andrew Smith, Esther Rijsemus and Nick Cook.
Andrew is a keen amateur photographer, has extensive experience in the creation, development and management of Internet-based businesses plus has held several senior executive roles in the telecommunications industry. Andrew is CEO.
Esther has a background in customer service and human resource management and has held executive roles in Human Resource Management internationally and worked as a consultant with a focus on change management. Esther is responsible for Marketing and Product Development.
Nick has an eclectic background in software development and Photonics. Nick is Customer Service and Operations Manager responsible for production management, customer service and product quality.
