Getting started with your "Well Wishes" Poster

There are 3 steps in getting started with your very own "Well Wishes" Poster

Step One: Update your editor. Download the new "Well Wishes" Poster page styles - for free! 

Step Two: Create your "Well Wishes" Poster. Customise the message and colours for your special occasion then insert your photos.

Step Three: Choose the right pen/marker. Ensure that all well wishes written on your Poster will be preserved beautifully for all time.

 

 

Step One: Update your editor

Follow these simple steps to download the new "Well Wishes" Poster page styles - for free!

 

1. Open the albumworks editor.

 

2. If you see a dialogue box appear saying 'Auto Update has detected new items to download' (below) click the 'Yes' button and follow the next step. If this dialogue box doesn't appear, proceed straight to Step 2: Create your "Well Wishes" Poster.

3. Tick the 'Products' checkbox in the top left hand corner of the window of the 'Auto Update' dialogue (below). This should automatically select all the new Poster product checkboxes. Press the 'Install' button. The software will now automatically download the required updates. Press the 'Finish' button when prompted.

Step Two: Create your "Well Wishes" Poster

1. Start a new project by clicking 'Create a New Project' (Please note: The all new "Well Wishes" Poster layouts are only available in the Large Poster sizes: 150x75, 120x60, 150x100, 112.5x100, 100x100)

 

2. Once you have chosen the Poster size and shape you wish to create, click 'Next', name your project and press 'Create' to get started!

 

3. You can choose the "Well Wishes" page style from the options at the bottom of the editor (see image  below - you may need to scroll the slider to to see your new updated 'Well Wishes' Poster page styles). Use your mouse to 'Drag and Drop' the Well Wishes page style onto your Poster right in the middle of the editor.

4. Once you are happy with your layout, load one or many folders of your digital photos to the editor using the toolbar on the left hand side of the screen

 

5. You can let the albumworks editor automatically fill your Well Wishes Poster with photos by clicking the 'Autoflow' button in the toolbar at the top of the page (see image below - its 6th button from the left, right next to the 'Aa+' button).

 

Step 8Or you can manually drag and drop loaded photos into the desired Polaroid photo placeholders on your Well Wishes Poster (as per usual).

6. Customise the central message of your Well Wishes Poster. Maybe you're creating your poster for an 18th or 21st birthday? Maybe its for an engagement party or wedding anniversary? Just double click the central text box and write your own special message. Depending on the size of the Poster you choose and the amount of text you write, your font might need to be up to 600 points (our example is 250 point in Comic Sans MS font). You can also choose your text colour in this dialogue box.

7. Experiment with changing the colours of the font and background to suit your special occasion.

 

8. Click the shopping cart at the top right hand corner of albumworks editor to purchase your new beautiful Well Wishes Poster - ready for your special day!

9. Don't forget to use any valid email-subscriber-only Voucher Codes to get your discount (where applicable)!

 

Step Three: Choose the right pen/marker to write your Well Wishes.

To ensure that all the Well Wishes that your friends write on your Poster are preserved beautifully for all time (without smudging), we recommend:

  • Either using ball point pens, or
  • Permanent Markers (such as a Sharpie)

 

And that's it! :)
