Regarding COVID-19: August Update

AUGUST 4TH, 2020

To our valued customers and community,

We wanted to provide you with an update now that Stage 4 Restrictions are in place across Metropolitan Melbourne and Mitchell Shire.
 

PRODUCTION

Albumworks continue to closely monitor the advice and instructions from government and health officials regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. From a production perspective, everything is still up and running as normal. Our production facilities have implemented necessary measures to ensure the health and safety of workers. These measures include:

Reduction in staff numbers per shift to maintain social distance

Separation of shifts instead of overlapping shifts

Strict hand sanitisation practices


DELIVERY

A temporary surcharge of $2.00 will be applied to the shipping price of each order. This is due to an unprecedented increase in freight cost as a result to the COVID-19 pandemic and is unfortunately out of our control.

For Victorian deliveries, there will be further impacts to delivery times as a result of Stage 4 Restrictions. This is a direct result of restrictions on incoming flights to Melbourne:

We estimate an additional 2–3 days on top of our current delivery time frames for all Victorian deliveries.

As we have previously communicated, the impact for deliveries to all other states and territories remains the same:

The vast majority of deliveries are being completed to normal timelines. However there have been some delays. The freight network has been disrupted by flight cancellations and reduced staffing levels.

Some customers (mostly in rural and remote areas), have experienced multiple day delays in delivery. We ask for your understanding if your order is affected by any freight network delays.

Rest assured, this additional delivery time will not affect the quality of your finished product.


MANAGEMENT AND SERVICE

As the office team continues to work from home, we will continue to provide the same great service that we pride ourselves on. Our management team and customer service staff are here working hard to bring you the best photos service possible. You can still pick up the phone and speak to one of our Customer Service members here in Melbourne during business hours - nothing has changed.

Across the past few months we’ve had the pleasure of connecting with our community through our weekly webinar series. We’ve also enjoyed sharing your photos in our photo competitions. Our community has really pulled together, so thanks for your continued support.
