HD Gen 2 - New High Definition printing

We have just launched our new generation of High Definition printing. After a decade of wonderful, loyal, faithful service our HD Press has sadly reached the end of its life and has been retired.

But with this retirement comes a big, bright replacement - our new High Definition printing which is printed on our brand-spanking-new, very latest generation HD Press.  We are calling this (very creatively)  - “HD Gen 2”.

HD Gen 2 continues our tradition of HD printing in 7 beautiful colours bringing vibrancy and punch to your photos that you will not get from others.

With the new press there are some changes plus new things coming down the pipeline.

We have upgraded the weight of our Photo Luster paper from 240gsm to 260gsm and selected a slightly smoother sheet which reflects the light more evenly.  And, if you investigate super-closely you ‘might’ notice a slight change in colour gamut due to the different types of inks used and the screen pattern.

In the New Year we are launching a new book size plus a wider range of paper types - all made possible by the new Press and its greater flexibility.
