It's

SEPTEMBER 18TH, 2017

A photobook is not just a book with photos in it.  A photobook is "your" story.  It’s a collection of photos and words that tells the story about what you experienced in a way that means something to you.

You may not realise it, but in using the albumworks editor and putting your photobook together you are in many ways being an editor, you have become a 1 person photo book publishing house!

By choosing what photos to make bigger or smaller, how many photos that you put on a photo book page, you are making editorial decisions.

You are making decisions about what are the big moments in your story and what are the smaller moments.  You are cutting out the less dramatic moments and injecting drama and a storyline.

It doesn't matter whether it’s a holiday to Kakadu or a 21st birthday, every story has a beginning, a middle and an end and a series of chapters in between.

So when you create your photobook, have a rough sense of the story you are going to tell and  what the “chapters” in your photo book are going to be.  It will help you make a book more quickly and create a more exciting story as well.
