How many photos should I have in my photo book?
There’s no set number — it really depends on the kind of Photo Book you’re making and how many photos you want to include on each page. The more pictures on a page, the 'busier' the page appears therefore someone browsing your album is less likely to be drawn to any particular photo. Conversely, the less photos on a page, the bigger you can make them and the more attractive these photos become.
That said, a good starting point is around 1 to 4 photos per page. Since our Photo Books start with 40 pages, you might want to have anywhere from 40 to 160 photos ready to go. But don’t worry — you can easily add extra pages if you need to fit more.
Here are a few tips to help:
If you want a clean, minimal look with big full-page photos, you might use 1–2 photos per page.
For a collage-style layout (great for events or travel books), you can fit 4–6 photos per page comfortably.
If you're making a Layflat Photo Book, you can go big with panoramic spreads and fewer photos per page for a dramatic effect.
We suggest that you experiment with different styles using full page spreads, photos as backgrounds, and smaller photos on one page. That way you can see what looks good for the type of album you're creating.
